Raised in the mountain community, with early years in Mariposa and a move to Oakhurst in 1987, a lifelong connection to the area shaped a career in construction from an early age. Hands-on experience began working alongside his uncle Ted Dwelle before earning a California General Contractor’s license in 1993 and founding Custom Plus Construction, Inc.

With more than 200 custom homes completed throughout the mountain region, California, and Arizona, Clay and his team specialize in custom residential construction while also delivering high-quality remodels, additions, custom pools, and metal buildings. A collaborative, educational approach guides every project, from vacant land to fully completed, turnkey homes. Consulting services are also available for owner-builders seeking professional guidance while managing their own builds.

Supporting the business is Clay’s wife, Michelle Bradford, a licensed Realtor (CA DRE #01792431), whose real estate expertise provides added value for clients navigating land acquisition and development.
